Caring for your Ease Mat
Thoughtful, tasteful, high quality & simple
Washing
Washing
Machine wash on a cold or warm setting (max 30°C / 86°F)
Hot water degrades the PU waterproof layer and weakens the absorbent fibers over time.
Use mild, fragrance-free detergent. Avoid bleach, enzyme-based cleaners, or anything harsh, as these can damage the bamboo fibers and waterproof layer.
Avoid fabric softeners
These coat absorbent fibers, reducing performance and breathability.
Stain Removal: Spot clean with diluted white vinegar (1 part vinegar to 3 parts water). Gently blot the stain — do not scrub — and rinse with cool water.
For persistent discoloration, soak in cool water with a tablespoon of baking soda before washing.
Odour Prevention: Add white vinegar or baking soda to wash cycle for extra freshness.
Drying
Drying
Tumble dry low (delicate cycle) or air dry flat
High heat causes the Waterproof PU layer to crack or delaminate and can shrink the bamboo component.
Never iron
This melts or distorts the Waterproof and RPET components.
General Use & Rotation
General Use & Rotation
Rotate between two or more mats
This gives each mat full time to dry and rest between uses — extending lifespan.
Shake off debris before washing
Helps reduce fiber friction and pilling in the machine.
Wash promptly after soiling
Leaving urine/smells to set in can degrade materials faster and reduce odour resistance.
Longevity Expectation (With Proper Care)
Longevity Expectation (With Proper Care)
Due to the superior materials, 200+ washes
Is a realistic lifespan under a proper care and rotation regime.
For light use or partial-soiling & more mats in rotation, even up to 300 gentle washes is easily achievable.
